The orange or yellow tint you see is caused by the health-monitoring indicators that are mixed into the white PrettyLitter crystals. These indicators help monitor your cat's urine for changes in acidity (pH) and alkalinity.
Before the litter is used or exposed to moisture, it's normal for these indicators to appear as a light yellow or orange tint. The amount and distribution of the tint may vary slightly from bag to bag, but this does not affect the product's quality or performance.
As long as the litter is dry and unused, a yellow or orange tint is expected and is not a cause for concern.
