Why is PrettyLitter so absorbent?

Where Does the Pee Go?! 💦️

This is a great question we get from curious cat parents all the time.

One of the most magical things about PrettyLitter is what happens after your kitty goes... and why you don't see (or smell!) it afterward. Let's break it down.

Tiny Crystals, Big Superpowers

PrettyLitter is made from silica gel crystals -- ultra-absorbent little heroes that are designed to soak up liquid fast. When your cat pees, the crystals trap and lock in moisture instead of letting it pool at the bottom of the litter box.

What does this mean for mindful cat moms and dads?

     🚫️ No soggy litter

     🚫️ No sticky clumps

     🚫️ No lingering odors

Absorbs, Doesn't Clump

Unlike traditional clumping litters, PrettyLitter's signature non-clumping formula doesn't form solid clumps when it gets wet. Instead, the moisture is absorbed inside each crystal, keeping the surface of your cat's litter dry and fresh for their next visit.

In other words...

  1. No heavy scooping
  2. No scraping the box
  3. Less mess, less stress!

Odor Control That Works Behind The Scenes

Because liquid and odor are trapped inside our silica gel crystals, smells don't get a chance to escape (until the litter has exhausted it's full life cycle of up to 30 days). This allows PrettyLitter to control odor at the source -- not by masking it with harsh deodorizers or chemicals, but by preventing it from forming in the first place.

So... where does the pee actually go?!

Right into the crystals! Over time, as the litter absorbs moisture, it slowly evaporates back into the air, safely and naturally, while odors stay locked away.

All you need to do is:

    👉️ Scoop the poop

👉️ Stir the litter daily to help redistribute moisture

👉️ Replace your PrettyLitter about once a month
