Yes, PrettyLitter is cat safe and companion trusted. Our formula was developed by a team of veterinarians and scientists specifically for cats! Our litter is made with non-toxic, amorphous Silica Gel, which you may be familiar with from other consumer goods like food wrappings, toothpaste, and cosmetics.
PrettyLitter Calm Aloe is the newest addition to our portfolio of cat care products. It expands our scented litter line beyond florals with another natural + neutral botanical option. 🌿️ Your kitty's litter box will feel like a private zen garden! 🧘️
We use cat-safe aloe gel in our blend. Purified aloe gel is the type of aloe used in things like pet wipes and shampoos. The aloe gel is processed to remove any aloe latex:
- Raw aloe plant latex is the "bad aloe" that can cause stomach upset in cats if ingested.
- Aloe latex can be irritating, and has a bitter, onion-like odor -- unlike the clean, botanical scent of aloe gel.
- No aloe plant latex is used or harvested in the creation of any PrettyLitter formulas or scents.
Once the aloe latex is removed, it leaves behind the mild, soothing scent of aloe combined with Vitamin E, which is extra soft on those tender cat paws.
PrettyLitter uses safe, highly diluted botanical derivatives for fragrance only. And we routinely test our aloe gel extract for the absence of aloin for pet parent peace of mind.
