Yes! PrettyLitter is kitten-friendly. Most kittens can use it as soon as they're confidently using the litterbox. Once your little fluff is reliably using the pan, they can happily (and safely) use our crystals.
Tips for Young Kittens (Under 3 Months)
Baby explorers are curious and may try to nibble or play with their litter, so we recommend:
- Keeping an eye on early litter box adventures
- Gently discouraging any "taste tests"
- Using a low, easy-to-hop-into box
PrettyLitter is non-toxic, but ALL litters should be kept under paws and out of curious mouths.
As Your Kitten Grows

Transitioning
Most kittens transition smoothly. If you're switching from a different litter type or substrate:
- Mix a small amount of PrettyLitter with your current litter
- Gradually increase the amount of PrettyLitter over the next 3-5 days
- Once your kitten is comfortable, use PrettyLitter exclusively
