Most cats will take to PrettyPlease right away. But some may have a harder time transitioning. Cats can be fickle, so acclimating them may take some time (and patience) to adjust to PrettyPlease's texture, smell, or flavor. A gradual transition can help prevent digestive upset and encourage your cat to accept the new taste and texture.
Suggested Transition Schedule
We suggest transitioning your cat over 7–10 days by gradually increasing the amount of PrettyPlease while decreasing their current food.
- Days 1–3: 75% current food, 25% PrettyPlease
- Days 4–6: 50% current food, 50% PrettyPlease
- Days 7–9: 25% current food, 75% PrettyPlease
- Day 10: 100% PrettyPlease
If your cat has a sensitive stomach or is hesitant to try new foods, you may wish to transition more slowly at a pace that's comfortable for them.
Tips for a Smooth Transition
- Feed your cat on their regular schedule.
- Always provide fresh, clean water.
- Be patient, every cat adjusts at their own pace.
